What are you doing on Fourth of July?

I have a week off of work so I will probably catch up on sleep and eat as much as my stomach can take. There isnt much to do in Atlanta GA during 4th of July…I’ve watched all the fireworks my eyes can fathom for the past 10 years, so I’m not really into them at the moment. You doing anything special?

    Same as I do everyday–take care of my 4 children and 1 kitten…and TRY to find 5 minutes for myself!Maybe catch the fireworks by the lake in the evening:)

    My neighborhood has an annual Fourth of July picnic. I’m volunteering to supervise some activities there. We also have a concert performed by the young musicians of the neighborhood. I’m organizing all that stuff too.

    I live in NC, and I’m going down to the Outer Banks… Its illegal to set off fireworks that get off the ground here, but I think we’re going to go buy some in Virginia or somewhere and then come back and set off illegal fireworks! Nothing says happy 4th of July like breaking the law!!

    Fourth of July is when my kids and their kids all get together. We bar-b-que, drink, and just enjoy being together. I get to be granna to all six grandkids and my daughters and daughter-in laws do all the cooking. It is a great day for me.

    Sweat in the hot NC sun at 10am to see the local parade, go home, eat all the BBQ and Cheerwine we can, nap, then head back to the Fourth of July Fair and Fireworks show and hope we don’t get stormed on like we usually do!

    Have a great meal with the family and then gather for the firework display at the public park. I’m from the midwest so this is stuff we generally do. When the public display is over we head home and light off our own fireworks and eat again.Worst 4th I ever had was in Santa Cruz, CA when I lived there. Had a beautiful fireworks display at the beach and then mass hysteria when everyone tried to leave at once. The quiet life for me.

    eatin cake and ice cream and openin presents. its my birthday fool! it sucks though cuz i hate fireworks and bbq and thats what everybody always wants to do.
