What are some good plans to make for the fourth of July?

Curious Girl is back. asked:

The beaches will be packed, and i’m not sure fire works will be on as they were on in our town yesterday. Anyone have any ideas for plans to celebrate our nation’s Independence Day?

A group of us did this several years ago, and it was a blast! Think of Christmas caroling with a group. Now, think of songs appropriate for July 4th.

We went to nursing homes and other places where people could not go out to celebrate. Some of them even sang along.

Give it a try. God bless.

We are loading up the pick up truck with a grill, a cooler full of food (burgers, italian sausages, the burger toppings, strawberries, angelfood cake, cool whip, potato salad, corn on the cob wrapped in foil to cook on the grill, baked beans, beverages, ice) croquet set, our own table and some lawn chairs just in case the picnic tables are all taken, and meeting family from another town at a halfway point at a state park, and spending the day together. My in laws are bringing some side dishes and all the table ware and plastic ware. Will be a fun day and nobody has to stress about having a mess at home.

Barbeque in your back yard or at a park with friends and/or family. Bring a radio and play a local station, they’ll have patriotic music when it’s time.
