Got cancelled because of thunderstorms! Of course make a good sandwich for the both of you and what's a picnic without fruit or something sweet. So choc. covered strawberries would be nice (fresh), and grapes or wine would be good. You could also do welches sparkling juice if you guys don't want to drink. If not fresh lemonade is nice. If you have heard of edible arrangements you can order a fruit basket from there and that would be perfect to. Go to edible arrangements .com they have all sizes so you can a small one. Packs the food in take-out containers. I'd go with cold pasta salad, i.e. tuna, sliced black olives, onions, mushrooms, mayo & tri-color rotini pasta. Watermelon may be messy...so grapes or strawberries, & crackers and dip or cheese, sparkling cider or wine.
